1930s WPA Sewing Project Denim Overalls

$378.00
sold out

DESCRIPTION

Very rare unworn 1930s overalls, most likely WPA sewing project. I have consulted many workwear experts, who agree these are most likely part of the depression-era WPA. There is also a chance they could be prison/institution made. They have an almost home made look to them, but the triple stitching is probably done with a professional machine, hence I would think largish institution or company that had their own overall workshop.

No labels anywhere. While construction of the garment is solid, it is not to factory spec, as there are some imperfections in stitching. In dead-stock unworn condition, with only flaws being a few faint marks from storage (pictured).

Measurements laying flat: 21” across waist, 28” across hips, 32” inseam, 11” leg opening, and 26” from crotch seam to top of bib. Best for someone who usually wears a 36-38” waist pant. Model is 6’3'“ and typically wears a 33” waist pant.

10% of sales from this item will be donate to the National Network of Abortion Funds

DETAILS
  1. 100% Cotton
