The Josephine Quilt Top Dress

$448.00
sold out
DESCRIPTION

The Josephine dress is made of my favorite & most valuable quilt top - an early 1900s blue & white calico mixed with chambray. I have been holding onto this one for a long time with dreams of what it could be, and I think we nailed it. This is made using a size 8 pattern (my size) but could fit someone smaller or larger depending on desired fit. It features two hip pockets, some sweet little patches throughout, and an adjustable tie in the back. Made in Athens, GA by professional seamstress Shawna Lea Maranville.

Despite this quilt top being over 100 years old, it is incredible soft and sturdy. It has a few discolorations common with age, but nothing that is overly visible. Dress has been laundered and is ready to wear.

Measurements: 35” around upper bust (aka top band) when tied tightest, but can accommodate up to 39” upper bust. Measures 41” length from top of bust band (so not including strap length).

DETAILS
  1. 100% cotton. Unlined.

  2. Made from antique materials sourced by Iron Pony

  3. Hand wash gently and hang dry
